The Mid Valley Times newspaper welcomes letters to the editor. Letters should not exceed 500 words in length and are subject to editing for clarity and brevity according to news publishing guidelines. Views on all matters will be accepted, but are subject to discretionary editing for obscenity or libel.

Each letter must include “Letters To The Editor” in the email subject line and file name, the author’s address and a daytime telephone number to verify the writer’s authenticity. Authors should also note in the correspondence if they would like letters to publish online only. Letters for print will automatically be posted to the website.

Anonymous letters are not accepted at Mid Valley Times.

The deadline to submit letters to the editor is noon on Monday for Thursday’s publication. There is no deadline for submitting letters to the website. Letters can be submitted via e-mail, at prmyers@midvalleytimes.com, by fax at 559-592-4308, or by mail:
