PARLIER – Parlier Junior High is embracing a harmonious blend of arts and athletics as it celebrates the groundbreaking of its new activity and band room, aiming to nurture the creative talents of hundreds of students while fostering a dynamic environment for both music and sports enthusiasts.
Parlier Junior High broke ground on its new activity and band room on Dec. 13. According to Parlier Unified School District Superintendent Rafael Iniguez, 400 students are enrolled in the school’s music and art courses.
Michael Afu is the school’s band teacher. According to the music department’s website, the music program is open to all students. No musical experience is necessary.
School officials said the facility will also host athletic events and competitions. The new facility represents the school’s ongoing efforts to engage students in art education and athletics.
