REEDLEY – Looking to promote better attendance in their schools, Kings Canyon Unified School District has decided to wheel in the big guns to encourage students.

Thanks to a recent donation of bicycles from Reedley Sunrise Kiwanis, KCUSD has awarded these bicycles to students as part of the district’s Perfect Attendance drawing contest. This initiative rewarded students at Lincoln, Silas Bartsch, Jefferson, T.L. Reed, Alta, Washington and Great Western who demonstrated exceptional commitment to their education by achieving perfect attendance during the school year.

Each student who achieved perfect attendance over the last school year received a ticket for the drawing, giving them a chance to win one of the bicycles donated by Sunrise Kiwanis.

“We are incredibly grateful to Sunrise Kiwanis for their generous donation and their unwavering support of our students,” Kings Canyon Unified Superintendent John Campbell said. “Perfect attendance is a significant achievement and this drawing is a wonderful way to recognize and celebrate our students’ dedication to their education.”

“Sunrise Kiwanis is proud to support the Kings Canyon Unified School District and its students,” said Gordon Todd, a representative of Sunrise Kiwanis. “We believe that by encouraging perfect attendance, we are helping to lay a strong foundation for future success. We are delighted to contribute to such a meaningful cause and to see the joy on the faces of the winning students.”

The Kings Canyon Unified School District thanks Sunrise Kiwanis for its generosity and commitment to students’ success. The school district believes this partnership highlights the power of community collaboration in enhancing educational opportunities and fostering a positive learning environment.
