Nominations open for Reedley Fiesta King and Queen

Submissions must be received by Sept. 5, applications are available through the Greater Reedley Chamber of Commerce

REEDLEY – The Reedley Lions Club currently is accepting nominations for King and Queen of the upcoming Reedley Fiesta in early October.

The King and Queen – who must be residents in the Reedley area for the past 15 years and active in civic and community affairs – will be selected by a panel of Reedley Lions Club members and past royal couples. They will reign over the annual event after being crowned at the Pioneers Park bandshell at 6:45 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 13, and will ride in the annual parade through downtown Reedley on Saturday, Oct. 14.

Persons nominating a potential King and Queen must submit an application listing five points as to why the nominees should receive the recognition. Longtime community members Harry and Lillie Valencia were the Fiesta King and Queen for 2022, and will crown this year’s royal couple at the first night ceremony.

Applications to submit nominations for the royal couple are available at the Greater Reedley Chamber of Commerce Office at 1044 G St. Application forms also can be downloaded on the chamber website at www.reedleychamber.com/events

Nomination applications can be turned in at the chamber office, or emailed to Pete Perez at pete@hgm-co.com no later than 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 5. For more information, contact Perez at 559-916-3613.
