Ruiz Foods dishes out expansion in Vernon

Tulare-born food manufacturer amplifies its presence in Vernon with obtainment of two new facilities to meet the growing appetite of their customers

FRISCO, TEXAS – Ruiz Food is spicing up its future with a sizzling expansion, adding two new facilities in the community of Vernon to serve up even more of its beloved El Monterey and Tornados products to hungry consumers.

Ruiz Food Products, Inc., a prominent frozen food manufacturer specializing in Mexican cuisine, is excited to announce the acquisition of two new facilities in Vernon. This expansion will significantly increase the company’s total manufacturing space by approximately 150,000 square feet. Both buildings are in close proximity to the Vernon facility obtained in October 2022 through its subsidiary RG1 Holding Co., LLC.

“As the demand for our renowned El Monterey and Tornados products continues to surge,” said Kimberli Carroll, chief operating officer at Ruiz Food Products, Inc., via news release. “The addition of this manufacturing square footage is a strategic move to address our growing capacity requirements. The first production line is set to become operational during the first half of our fiscal year 2025.”

According to the release, this expansion will bolster the company’s ability to provide flexible manufacturing solutions on the West Coast. In her statement, Carroll emphasized the company’s unwavering commitment to its customers.

Ruiz Foods Products, Inc. is a privately-owned corporation co-founded by Fred Ruiz and his father, Louis, in 1964.  Kim Ruiz Beck, the elder daughter of co-Founder and chairman Emeritus Fred Ruiz, serves as chairman.
