TCSO hunts for fugitive and Orosi shooter

Orosi man seeks out help after gunshot injury; Tulare County Sheriff tabs a new name into Top 10 Most Wanted Criminals in Hiding list

TULARE COUNTY – The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office is on the search for information on a fugitive who’s name was recently added to the Top 10 Most Wanted Criminals in Hiding List, as well as for a case of a man who has to seek out help after he was shot in Orosi.

Just after 10:20 p.m. on Jan. 6, deputies with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office were called out to Orosi in response to a report of shots fired in the area of Avenue 416 and Road 128. When they arrived on scene, deputies learned that a man had been shot and then drove himself from the scene to the area of Road 130 and Avenue 417 for help.

In other news, a new name has been added to the Sheriff’s Top 10 Most Wanted Criminals in Hiding List. The sheriff’s office is asking for information from the public to help find the fugitive Luis Lomeli, 19, of Orosi.

Lomeli is wanted for a felony domestic violence warrant and for a short pursuit with TCSO. According to reports, he fled the scene and threw out a loaded gun.
