VISALIA – A hometown fighter will be trying to capture a California Amateur Mixed Martial Arts (CAMO) state championship this weekend to highlight the 599 Fights 103 card at Visalia Convention Center.

Unbeaten Tyler Saelee (3-0-1) takes on Madera’s Abraham Del Toro (3-1) in a battle for the recently vacated 559 Fights and CAMO State Lightweight championships. The event will cap off the 15-bout card that starts at 7 p.m with opening bouts and 8:30 with televised matches. Visalia Convention Center is at 303 E. Acequia Ave.

Jeremy Luchau, 559 Fights president, said the bout is an ideal main event.

“We recently just sent the best lightweight in the state to the professional ranks,  and now we are back with two more hammers (at) 155,” he said

Another co-main event has Fresno’s undefeated Raul Valdovinos (4-0) looking to continue his title reign and add some new hardware in the CAMO Featherweight State Championship as he takes on a former title challenger in Clovis’s Chris Paez (4-2).

“This is another barn burner of a fight,” Luchau. “Valdovinos just beat Paez’ teammate to win the title and now faces the surging Clovis featherweight.”

The third feature title bout of the evening finds 559 Fights interim Flyweight Championship up for grabs as two undefeated prospects in Manteca’s Cyrus Povoor (4-0) and Hanford’s Ronnie Reyes (3-0) square off.

One other featured bout has Clovis’ Johnny Diaz (2-1) taking on a former 559 Fights Bantamweight title challenger in Bakersfield’s Julio Larrave (4-3). Another Visalia fighter, lightweight Dorian Hale (3-3-1) , takes on Mark Bibiabo (3-1) from Clovis.

Another of the televised bouts will be the debut of Kingsburg MMA fighter Jalene Delsid, who will face Goleta’s Stefanie Salinas (0-0) in a matchup of women’s strawweight fighters.

There also will be six preliminary bouts before televised fights, including a featherweight contest pitting unbeaten Anthony Romero (2-0) from Reedley against Bakersfield’s Daniel Cerna (1-1). Visalias’s Salvador Aceves puts his 1-0 record up against Madera’s Moses Contreras (1-1) in a welterweight contest, while a lightweight bout matches Visalia’s Chris Gregg (0-0) against Porterville’s Fiipe Huerta (0-0).
