KINGSBURG – As the community of Kingsburg inches its way closer to the town’s annual Dala Horse Trot, the race’s organizer, the Rotary Club of Kingsburg, is seeking out sponsors to help support the club’s community activities.

The Kingsburg Rotary Club is warming up for the Dala Horse Trot on May 18. With anticipation building, the club is extending an invitation to local businesses to become sponsors of the event and support the club’s ongoing community initiatives.

“We are asking for your assistance. By sponsoring this event you can play an instrumental part in supporting the work that rotary club does in our community,” the Kingsburg Rotary Club stated in a press release. “As a sponsor, your business will be featured in one of Kingsburg’s most distinguished events.”

This racing event, which includes a 10K run, two-mile run and two-mile walk, has been a part of the city’s Swedish Festival for four decades, drawing participants from across the state. According to the release, the event has hosted between 700 and 1,000 runners in years past and is a great opportunity for both runners and sponsors to connect with the community.

“It is with great pride that we can say that all sponsorship money stays in our community. We thank you for your consideration in supporting our community and organization,” the rotary club stated.

Sponsors will have the opportunity to showcase their commitment to the community by having their logos prominently featured on race shirts and recognized during the event.

The sponsorship levels range from Bronze to Elite, offering businesses various levels of recognition. The different levels include:

  • Bronze level costs $250 and in return sponsors receive their logo on race t-shirt, two complimentary race entries, and are recognized as a bronze sponsor during the race;
  • The Silver level costs $500 large logo on a race t-shirt, five complimentary race entries, recognized as a silver sponsor;
  • Gold level costs $750, includes a large logo on the race t-shirt, logo and name featured along the race, 10 complimentary race entries and recognized as a gold sponsor during the race; and
  • Elite level costs $1,000, and includes a large logo on the race t-shirt, logo and name featured on the banner at the finish line, at one aid station and on the race bib, as well as being recognized as an elite sponsor during the race.

Contributions to the event can be mailed to the Kingsburg Rotary Club at 1467 Smith St. in Kingsburg, and will directly benefit community projects and endeavors.

As the Kingsburg Rotary Club is preparing to kick off another Dala Horse Trot, they continue to welcome the support of local businesses and the collective effort to make this year’s event a success.

Businesses interested in sponsorship opportunities are encouraged to contact Shannon Guss, the event coordinator, at 559-393-1309, or via email at Dalahorsetrot@yahoo.com. The deadline for sponsorship commitments is April 15.
