PARLIER – The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office (FSO) is investigating the death of a man that occurred just north of Parlier city limits.
FSO said dispatchers received a call of shots being fired near the intersection of Academy Avenue and Adams Avenue, a county portion of Parlier, just before 3 a.m. on Jan. 9. Deputies found a man with gunshot wounds on the ground when they arrived on scene. Deputies attempted to provide the man medical aid but he died “a short time later,” according to a press release.
Homicide detectives and the FSO Crime Scene Unit are currently collecting evidence and speaking with people in the area; no suspects have been identified, and the name and age of the victim have not been released.
