VISALIA – California Citrus Mutual (CCM) is inviting growers and allies of the industry to the 2025 Citrus Showcase.
This year’s showcase will be held on March 12 at the Visalia Convention Center. Attendees can expect informational seminars about the industry, free continuing education (CE) unit-approved courses, a tradeshow and an industry luncheon.
Though advanced registration to attend the luncheon has already filled up, guests can still register for general admission on CCM’s website.
The event’s morning session will be led by Marissa Zandler, Director of Economic and Market Research at the Florida Department of Citrus.
“With juice prices at an all-time high, we feel her expertise in this area will provide insight into trends, consumer demands, and what growers can expect moving forward,” said CCM President and CEO Casey Creamer in a press release. “Understanding the juice market will better equip California growers, packers, and shippers to maximize grower returns.”
Ray Starling, former Special Assistant to the President on Agriculture and Agriculture Trade during the first Trump administration and returning friend of the showcase, will be this year’s luncheon speaker.
“We are extremely pleased to welcome Starling back to the Citrus Showcase,” Creamer said. “Starling spoke at the 2019 conference, and we are excited to have him back in person to provide his insights on what the administration’s return means for California citrus growers.”
Those interested in taking any of the CE courses will have several options thanks to a partnership with the California Association of Pest Control Advisers, including:
- Fruit Fly and ACP/HLB Quarantine Update;
- Argentine Ant Management Innovations in Citrus Orchards;
- Grapefruit Wilt Caused by Neoscytalidium dimidiatum and Bot Gummosis of Citrus;
- Research Updates on Citrus Mealybug Monitoring and Management;
- Developing and Testing an IPM Approach for Managing Roof Rats in Citrus;
- SprayDays Regulations; and
- ESA and Auditable IPM Programs.
CCM was established in 1977 as a non-profit trade association. They seek to represent California’s citrus growers’ voices on economic, regulatory and political issues.
The Citrus Showcase serves as a way to bring the industry together, and learn about the path to continued sustainability, the future competitiveness of the industry and to offer a space for comradery.
