BATON ROUGE, LA – A university student from Exeter is taking a step above with her election into the nation’s oldest and most selective honor society.
Katlin Rowley is now among approximately 20,000 students, faculty, staff and alumni that are initiated into Phi Kappa Phi of Fresno State each year. Membership is by invitation only, and only the top 10% of seniors and 7.5% of juniors are eligible for membership.
The top 10% of graduate studies students are also eligible, in addition to faculty, staff and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction.
Phi Kappa Phi was founded in 1897 by Marcus L. Urann, who had the desire to create an honor society that recognized excellence in all academic disciplines. Present day, Phi Kappa Phi has chapters on more than 300 campuses in the U.S., its territories and the Philippines.
