REEDLEY — The Reedley Elk Lodge invites the community to explore the area’s culinary landscape at “Taste of the Town: A New Beginning.”
On June 13, attendees will be able to sample various menu items from food establishments in the community. Tickets can be purchased online for $40 or $300 for a table of eight, or $45 for individual tickets at the door.
“I love my city, I love Reedley,” said Lee Ky, an organizer of the event. “I think people are thirsty to be back together and just enjoy an evening of fun, and we have great restaurants and talents so we need to showcase them.”
The event is ages 16+ and will take place outdoors on the corner of 11th Street and G Street in Reedley from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Music will be in the air as well, with local family band River City Rose keeping the mood lively.
The last Taste of the Town event was held in 2019, and after the dissolution of the Downtown Association all hopes for the event seemed lost. Through Ky’s passion and the resources of the Reedley Elks Lodge, people can once again explore the flavors of Reedley.
“It’ll be a fun time, a fun gathering to support each other in town,” Ky said.
