REEDLEY – Civic leaders and agency representatives gathered at the Greater Reedley Chamber of Commerce office to share insight and look to the city’s future.
The chamber hosted the inaugural Regional Leaders Roundtable on Aug. 6, inviting representatives of more than 20 offices and organizations. Participants gave brief updates and goals of their respective organizations to create an open exchange of information, and to better coordinate efforts in the Reedley area.
“We believe that when local leaders and agencies come together regularly, our entire region benefits,” said Erik Valencia, president and CEO of the chamber, in a press release. “The roundtable is about building relationships, aligning our efforts and making sure we’re all rowing in the same direction when it comes to strengthening Reedley and the surrounding area.”
Reedley City Manager Nicole Zieba served as the roundtable’s first guest speaker, providing insights into the city’s current priorities and upcoming projects. Following her presentation, attending organizations shared their priorities and opportunities in two-minute updates.

- Dawn Pearson from the Valley Regional Occupational Program

The chamber plans to hold roundtable sessions on a quarterly basis. The next meeting will take place on Nov. 5, with two more planned for Feb. 4 and May 6 of next year. Each meeting will take place from 12-1:15 p.m.
