PARLIER – An indoor grow site in Parlier, which was housing over 1,800 cannabis plants, has been shut down by local law enforcement.
According to a report on May 16, the Parlier Police Department received information regarding a possible indoor marijuana grow in the 400 block of H Street. After issuing a warrant, an indoor grow was located, with over 1,800 marijuana plants being grown and cultivated at the site.
The warrant, authored and approved by a judge, was served by officers of the Parlier Police Department, along with the assistance of the Reedley Police Department and the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office. Fresno County Fire Engine 71 conducted a check of the site and rendered it safe for officers to conduct the seizure after unsafe conditions were identified. Several chemical and electrical issues were found related to the theft of power from PG&E for the grow site.
Due to the complexity of the grow site and specialty training needed for grow sites due to various chemicals, law enforcement agents with the California Department of Cannabis Control will be assisting with the investigation, seizure and clean-up of the site.
