FRESNO COUNTY – The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office (FSO) has determined the deceased body found east of Fowler, near the intersection of Adams and Highland avenues, was the product of a homicide.
The body of Fresno resident Cassandra Munoz, 33, was discovered on Dec. 24 at 5:30 a.m. after FSO received reports of an injured person. When deputies arrived on the scene, they determined that Munoz was deceased and concluded that her injuries were consistent with a homicide.
The area where Munoz’s body was found is bordered by orchards. That Sunday, FSO had taped off the area southeast of the intersection of Adams and Highland. The exact location where Munoz’s body was discovered has not been disclosed.
