TULARE COUNTY – Some suspects decided to spice up their Valentine’s Day night by committing an armed robbery against a local taco vendor, leaving detectives to open up an investigation to catch the culprits.

At about 11:15 p.m. on Feb. 14, deputies with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office were called to an armed robbery at a taco truck at the intersection of Road 204 and Avenue 256 between Exeter and Lindsay. When they arrived, they learned armed suspects walked into the business and demanded money. No one was hurt and detectives took over the investigation.

In other news, on Feb. 13 just before 7:30 p.m., TCSO deputies were called to Culter in response to a shooting at George Street and 2nd Drive. When deputies arrived, they found an 18-year-old man who had been shot.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Deputies are still investigating the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office at 559-733-6218.
