SANGER – Following the weekend’s fatal shooting on Indianola Avenue, Fresno County authorities have disclosed the identity of the victim who lost his life in the recent homicide, and are looking for tips that can assist them in finding the suspect who is behind it.
Announced on March 4, members of the Fresno County Sheriff’s (FCSO) Crime Scene Unit named Cesar Quezada, 43, of Sanger as the victim of the shooting. Quezada’s murder occurred sometime early in the morning on Saturday, March 2. Around 5:30 a.m., deputies responded to a call of shots fired on the 3100 block of S. Indianola Ave. in Sanger. Y
When the deputies arrived at the scene, they found a man with gunshot wounds outside of a home. Although deputies and EMS provided life-saving efforts, Quezada succumbed to his injuries. His family members lived at the home where he was shot.
Homicide detectives responded to the scene and began an investigation. They are working to collect possible surveillance video from the surrounding area and speak with people who knew Quezada to try and determine who is responsible for the deadly shooting.
As of report, detectives are still gathering specifics behind the motive, but do believe this was an isolated incident, not a random act of violence.
