REEDLEY – A 40-year-old Reedley resident died after crashing their vehicle into parked cars in a southwest Reedley neighborhood early Tuesday morning.
The Reedley Police Department (RPD) responded to a report of a traffic collision at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Dec. 10 near the intersection of Huntsman Avenue and Hope Avenue, where they discovered the resident unresponsive in their vehicle. RPD said the individual was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash despite efforts from officers, who began CPR upon locating the individual.
The resident was identified as Keenan Gregori of Reedley by the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office on Dec. 12. Gregori was the only person involved in the collison.
“The Reedley Police Department extends its deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased during this difficult time,” RPD said in a press release.
At the scene of the crash, officers found three vehicles with “major damage,” according to the press release. A preliminary investigation determined the individual involved was driving westbound on Huntsman Avenue when their vehicle collided with two parked vehicles just past the intersection.
RPD has not determined a reason for the collision and said it is unknown if alcohol or other factors contributed to the accident. The Fresno County Coroner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to determine “if the driver’s death resulted from injuries sustained in the collision or a potential medical emergency that may have preceded the crash,” the press release said.
