ORANGE COVE – After a string of Arsons in Orange Cove last week, a suspect has finally been found and booked.Â
According to a Facebook post from the Orange Cove Fire Protection District on Feb. 22, Orange Cove Fire District (OCFD) received reports of a subject burning items behind a business and arrived at the area of Park Boulevard and 5th Street on Feb. 19. The individual then attempted to block firefighters from putting out the fire, even attempting to take a hose away from the crew. The suspect then fled.
OCFD’s investigator later found the same suspect at the scene of a second fire, and the suspect was promptly booked into Fresno County Jail for arson and interfering with a firefighter.
