REEDLEY – Three juveniles have been arrested following an investigation into the armed robbery of a local youth.
On Jan. 23, multiple search warrants were executed, resulting in the arrest of three Reedley residents ages 14, 15 and 16. The 16-year-old was arrested for probation violation, the 15-year-old was arrested for armed robbery and possession of a firearm and the 14-year-old was arrested for armed robbery.
Due to the ages of those involved, no further identifying information will be released.
The robbery occurred on Jan. 13 in the 900 block of El Dorado Avenue, where a juvenile victim riding a scooter was assaulted and robbed of his personal belongings by multiple minors affiliated with a criminal street gang. After investigating the incident, detectives were able to identify three of the four involved suspects.
With the assistance of the Fresno County Sheriff’s MAGEC Unit and the Multi-Agency ACT, detectives located all three juveniles. During the search, investigators recovered a firearm and other evidence supporting the robbery.

In its statement, the Reedley Police Department said that it remains committed to holding individuals accountable for violent crimes, while reminding the public that they are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
