Laurel D. Austin

Laurel D. Austin, of Fowler, died on Sept. 3, 2023. She was 74 years old. Wallin’s Fowler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 

Norma Lisette Bravo

Norma Lisette Bravo, of Parlier, died on Sept. 9, 2023. She was 24 years old. A funeral Mass will be on Monday, Sept. 18, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Wallin’s Parlier Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Diana Calderon

Diana Calderon passed away on Aug. 15, 2023. She was beloved by her parents, sisters, nieces, nephews, friends, extended family, and students. 

Her love of children led her to pursue her education at Fresno State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in liberal studies, credentialed in bilingual education.

In 1997, she started her teaching career with Sanger Unified School, Jefferson Elementary (her alma mater). She retired from Corcoran Unified School District after 20 years of service. She leaves her legacy at Freemont Elementary School and with all the students she taught, supported and touched. Her passion for teaching helped shape the minds of the future.

The central piece of her life was her family, her parents: Ignacio and Josefina Calderon, sisters: Francisca Cabrera, Sandra Calderon, Susana Calderon-Solis, and, Teresa Calderon, nieces: Raquel Solis and Alegre Luna DeLoera, nephews: Alex Cabrera, Jordan Calderon, Nicholas Calderon, Adrian Solis, and Abram DeLoera, great nieces: Alexa, McKenzie, and Genoveva Cabrera, and brothers in law: Martin Cabrera, Manuel Solis, and Juan DeLoera. Diana’s loss is deeply felt, our family will forever be missing a piece of our family puzzle.

James Willie Fischer

James Willie Fischer, of Dinuba, died on Aug. 9, 2023. He was 77 years old. Mr. Fischer was a caregiver. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. He is survived by his one sister and two brothers. Dopkins Dinuba Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Juanita Herrera

Juanita Herrera, of Parlier, died on Sept. 5, 2023. She was 73 years old. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Wallin’s Parlier Funeral Home. A funeral service will be on Friday, Sept. 22, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Wallin’s Parlier Funeral Home. Wallin’s Parlier Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 

Mae L. Landrith

Mae L. Landrith, of Fowler, died on Sept. 6, 2023. She was 96 years old. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2023 from 9 to 10:45 a.m. followed by a graveside service at 11 a.m. at the Fowler Cemetery District. Wallin’s Fowler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Linda Ann Lewis

Linda Ann Lewis, of Fresno, died on Aug. 17, 2023. She was 72 years old. Mrs. Lewis was a homemaker. Interment will be held at the Masis Ararat Armenian Cemetery. She is survived by one son, one daughter and three grandchildren. Dopkins Reedley Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Armando Martinez

Armando Martinez, of Sanger, died on Aug. 17, 2023. He was 63 years old. Mr. Martinez was a produce clerk. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, Sept. 11, 2023 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and interment at Sanger Cemetery. He is survived by his spouse, Leonore Martinez, one son, one daughter, five brothers, six sisters and six grandchildren. Dopkins Reedley Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

Maria Santos Martinez

Maria Santos Martinez, of Orosi, died on Sept. 6, 2023. She was 85 years old. Mrs. Martinez was a housewife. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2023 from 9 to 9:30 a.m., with a Rosay and funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Dinuba. Interment will be at Smith Mountain Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Fernando Martinez, three daughters, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Willie Mae McGee

Willie Mae McGee, of Laton, died on Aug. 26, 2023. She was 92 years old. A graveside service was held on Sept. 8, 2023 at the Sanger Cemetery District. Wallin’s Sanger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pete “Arturo” Montoya

Pete “Arturo” Montoya, of Sanger, died on Aug. 22, 2023. He was 83 years old. Mr. Montoya was a engineer. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, Sept. 14, 2023 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s New Church in Sanger with interment at the Sanger Cemetery. He is survived by his spouse, Lupe Montoya. Juanita Reyna

Juanita Reyna, of Reno, died on June 13, 2023. She was 71 years old. A Rosary will be held on Friday, Sept. 15, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. and a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sanger. Wallin’s Sanger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Glen Dale Smith

Glen Dale Smith, died on Sept. 5, 2023. He was 64 years old. Mr. Smith was a truck driver. A memorial service will be held on Friday, Sept. 22, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Dopkins Funeral Chapel in Dinuba. He is survived by his son and daughter. Dopkins Dinuba Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Ruby Topoozian, of Selma, died on Sept. 8, 2023. She was 90 years old. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2023 at S. Gregory the Illuminator. Wallin’s Fowler Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
