Patricia Cano

Patricia Cano of Fresno, died on Nov. 19, 2023. She was 56 years old. Wallin’s Fowler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Carol Ann Curiel

God called Carol home on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at the age of 63. Carol was born on Dec. 5, 1959, and raised with her three brothers and sister in Reedley, Calif., where she attended local schools. In 1978, she married Jesse Gonzalez settling in Reedley, Calif. where they raised their family.

Carol Ann Curiel

Carol was preceded in death by her parents John G. and Lucille Curiel of Reedley, Calif., and her son Jesse Gonzalez Jr. She is survived by her children and spouses Vanessa Gonzalez; Erik Gonzalez (Savanna); Samantha Gonzalez; grandchildren Brendon, Colton, Justin, Jaxon, Cameron, Cali, Rykki, Mayvis, and Aliena; sister Lupe L. Ramirez, brothers John A. Curiel, Adrian F. Curiel, Michael J. Curiel and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial mass will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 9, 2023, at Saint Anthony of Padua South, 1060 F St, Reedley, Calif. 93654.

A celebration of Carol’s life will follow the mass at Redeemers Church, 819 W Parlier Ave, Reedley, Calif. 93654. All are welcome to attend.

Donna Decker

Donna Decker was born in Modesto, Calif., on Aug. 11, 1943, and passed away Nov. 14, 2023.

Donna was raised in Easton, Calif. on a dairy and cotton farm until the age of eight. Her family then moved to Dunlap to their ranch, which is now home to Cat Haven on Hwy 180. She attended Dunlap School, a one room schoolhouse with 8-10 students.

Donna married Gordon Decker, her high school sweetheart. Together they raised a family in Reedley, Calif.. Donna managed the books for Decker Patio & Awning over 40 years. She loved gardening, and traveling to Pismo Beach and Shaver Lake. Donna had many close friends. She was a member of Reedley First Baptist Church for 60 years. She was active in women’s Bible studies, small groups, and senior luncheon meals. She offered time and support to many missionary outreach programs.

Donna loved her family. Gordon and Donna had four children: Deborah Johnson, and husband Mark (Monterey, Calif.); Steven Decker (deceased); Jonathan Decker and wife, Kelli (Clovis Calif.); and Ryan Decker (Reedley, Calif.). She loved being a grandmother to her four grandsons: Tyler Johnson, and his wife Amanda (San Diego) who are expecting their first child. Garrett Johnson, and his wife Victoria (Fresno Calif.), Blake Johnson (Monterey, Calif.) and Mason Decker (Kingsburg, Calif.), who lovingly called her Gram. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins (1st, 2nd, 3rd generations).

She is preceded in death by Gordon Decker (husband), Steven Decker (son), Floyd and Doris Jennings (parents), Beverly Mechum, (sister) and Ron Jennings (brother). 

A graveside service was held on Nov. 29, 2023 at the Reedley Cemetery, Reedley, Calif.

A celebration of life service followed at Redeemers Church, Reedley, Calif..

Donna Decker

Donna Decker of Reedley, died on Nov. 14, 2023. She was 80 years old. Mrs. Decker was a bookkeeper. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023 at the Reedley Cemetery. She is survived by her three sons, one daughter, one brother, two sisters and four grandchildren. Dopkins Reedley Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

Linda Marie Ford Byus

On Dec. 15, 1955, Linda was welcomed into the world to Roger Eugene and Juanita May Shropshire Ford. She was the second of five children. Patti preceded her in 1954. Robert followed in 1958, Orval in 1961 and David in 1963. The family of seven lived in Lindsay, Calif. surrounded by grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Linda Marie Ford Byus

As a child, Linda was active in 4-H. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and raising animals. Linda won a sewing competition at age 15 and was awarded with a sewing machine from the local 4-H leaders. Linda and Patti used the earned sheep proceeds to purchase their first car together. As they were busy working the 4-H projects, Linda learned how to run a small business. She used this skill when she opened her beauty parlor. She was a talented and coveted hairdresser. Linda was also active in sports. She was on the local swim team and judo club. She loved to ride horses every chance she got. Linda’s quick wit and smile won her many friends.

Linda has three children. Christina, who preceded her in death in 1981, David Banks of Lindsey and Melissa Hughes of Post Falls, Idaho. Linda has six grandchildren; Dillon, Natori, Christina, Levi, Luke and D.W.

Allen Byus and Linda were married 32 years. both were active in outdoor activities; fishing and country music were their favorites.

Linda helped in raising her step daughters, Dana and Amy.

Linda went to be with the Lord on Nov. 21, 2023. She will be missed by her family and friends.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, Dec. 4, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Lindsay District Cemetery.

Paula Moncivais

Paula Moncivais of Tulare, died on Nov. 19, 2023. She was 77 years old. Visitation will be held on Monday, Dec. 4, 2023 from 4 to 7 p.m., with a Rosary said at 6 p.m. at Wallin’s Parlier Funeral Home.

A funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Parlier. Wallin’s Parlier Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Gloria Rivera Torres

Gloria Rivera Torres was born to Paul and Mary Rivera on Aug. 19, 1954. She was the youngest girl of nine siblings. As a child, she was known to be quiet and reserved. Gloria stayed home and helped her mom in the Kitchen, instead of going out to work with her older siblings. This is where she learned to cook her delicious meals.

Gloria Rivera Torres

High School is where Gloria met her husband, Miguel Torres. Not long after high school, they were married and had four daughters: Michelle, Denise, Katherine, and Gloria. When they grew up and had their own babies, she was always helping to take care of her grandchildren. 

In her more recent years, Gloria picked up the hobby of embroidery, playing candy crush and her casino games on her phone, and reading her Bible. Gloria passed away Nov. 20, 2023 at her home. She lived a life filled with laughter and love. She will be missed dearly by those who loved her. 

She is preceded in death by her husband Miguel Torres; by her sisters Esther Moreno and Mary Granados; by her brothers Paul Rivera and John Rivera; by her oldest daughter Michelle Millan; by her second Born daughter Angelic Denise Torres-Verastegui, and by two grandchildren.

She is survived by her sisters, Sarah Tarango of Solano County, and Linda Lopez of Fresno County; by her brothers Joe Rivera of Tulare County, and Mark Rivera of Tulare County; by her daughters Katherine Villarreal of Fresno County, and Gloria Bukhari of Iowa; by 15 grandchildren and by five great-grandchildren.

Gloria Rivera Torres

Gloria R. Torres of Orange Cove, died on Nov. 20, 2023. She was 69 years old.

Mrs. Torres was a CNA. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Sterling & Smith Funeral Home in Dinuba. A graveside service will be on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Smith Mountain Cemetery. She is survived by her two daughters, two brothers, two sisters, 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Sterling & Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Harold Gene Tuttle

Harold Gene Tuttle of Reedley, died on Nov. 21, 2023. He was 92 years old. Mr. Tuttle was a milkman. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., followed by a Funeral Service at 10 a.m. at Dopkins Funeral Chapel in Dinuba. Interment will be at Smith Mountain Cemetery. He is survived by his five sons, five daughters, 30 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Dopkins Dinuba Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
