Karen S. Harris, of Fresno passed away on Sept. 17, 2026, at the age of 79. There will be a graveside service on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Sanger Cemetery in Sanger, Calif.

Emily Ortiz Sanchez

Emily Ortiz Sanchez, 90, of Sanger, Calif., passed away peacefully at her home on Sept. 21, 2026. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister and friend and her presence will be missed. She was married to Richard Sanchez on May 6, 1953 and dedicated her life to her family. Her laughter and loving spirit brightened the lives of all who knew her.

Emily is survived by her devoted husband Richard, her children Eleanor Meyer, Larry Sanchez, Sal Sanchez, Dianna Witrado, eight grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Oct. 5, 2026, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sanger, Calif., beginning with a rosary at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. with a funeral procession thereafter.
