REEDLEY – Reedley College has announced the hiring of the school’s fourth women’s volleyball coach.

Former player Jennifer (Craw) Uresti will replace Mariah Roby. Both are former Tiger players. In 1990 and 1991, Craw was a first team AVCA All-American while playing for Coach Shirley Gustafson and the Tigers at Kings River Community College (before it changed back to Reedley).

Jennifer Craw-Uresti is the new Reedley College women’s volleyball coach. She was a first team AVCA All-American her sophomore season in 1991 for the Tigers at then-Kings River Community College, and later was an all-Western Athletic Conference player at Fresno State. (Reedley College)

“It’s such an honor to be back in the Reedley College Gym and have the opportunity to lead the team that made such a positive impact on my life,” Craw-Uresti said. “We’ll be working hard to return the volleyball program back to the prominence it was here under Coach Gustafson.”

Before playing at Reedley, Craw-Uresti led her high school, Sierra High, to a state division volleyball title. She went to Fresno State and played for Coach Lindy Vivas. She helped the Dogs to a number 17 national ranking and was chosen all-Western Athletic Conference her senior year.

Craw-Uresti has coached at all levels of high school and club volleyball. She is currently a club coach at the Valley Volleyball Academy in Fresno.
